By the time I got around to photographing this tart, it no longer looked beautiful, but it still tasted fantastic. Also, I should have made my own dulce de leche because the one I bought was a little too saucy and ran a bit. But the crust was cookie-like and cocoa-rich and the chocolate custard was smooth, dense and delicious.
A short post this week, because I’m helping out with the annual craft fair my Mom and her friends organize.
I’m looking forward to seeing some beautiful renditions of this dessert in everyone else’s posts later this weekend.

Thank you for posting your photo. This is what I love about this group no show off. I´m glad that your tart tasted good even though the caramel was a bit too runny and the tart was not picture perfect :0)
Hi Teresa, actually by the time you got around to photographing I think your slice still looks quite inviting and delicious! Best Wishes at the annual Craft Show!
The best thing about homebaked treats, no two is alike! I thought your tart looks great! This is a delicious tart indeed, a definite winner with all the lovely bakers at CtBF!
Yum chocolate. It looks and sounds delicious. Good luck with the craft fair.
Your tart looks a little bit like mine – my store-bought caramel was runny too and I didn’t let it sit for long enough to chill. But no matter, as you say – it’s a delicious dessert!
I kind of like the way the runny caramel looks. I’m enjoying a slice of tart as I read everyone’s posts. Delicious. I loved this recipe. Hope the craft show went well.
Still looks beautiful to me!
Teresa, Just kidding, I always feel so dumb when I come up with the error 404.
I don’t know what I do wrong, sometimes it works and some times not, That’s life.
Anyway, this was a great dessert, way too much for us old people, but delicious just the
same. It seems that your holiday fair was a success, and that’s is what is important.
Not sure how far Thanksgiving holiday goes, but have a happy.
Regardless of the runny filling, it looks decadent and very tasty! As you know, I too had trouble with the photographing, though we had no trouble with the eating of the tart. 🙂 I’ve enjoyed seeing the posts from your holiday fair!
The beauty with this tart is with its color. It’s deep and dark and grips you. Consider it a success.
