FFWD – Whole-Cherry Clafoutis

DSCF7121

You may be asking yourself, Teresa who? I’ve been absent a while, haven’t I? I fell down the rabbit hole of some contract work, but I’m glad to be back, and I can’t wait to see all your versions of this cake…pudding…pudding-cake. Maybe I’ll just stick to clafoutis, it’s more fun to say, anyway.

Cherries are just hitting the market here, so the timing of this week’s recipe was perfect, as was this dish. I’ll be having my second slice shortly.

So what does your summer hold? Mine’s going to include a lot of canning, a lot of planning, and (I hope) a week or two of relaxation in September.

You can find many other blogged descriptions of this week’s FFWD recipe here: Whole-Cherry Clafoutis

  1. So glad to see you back, Teresa! A perfect recipe to come back to…this was really good. Yours looks wonderfully delicious!
I hope to be doing a lot of jam making this summer and tending to my garden. We also have a few mini trips planned. And my grandchildren will be visiting for a week. Hope you enjoy your summer.

  2. so much work to be done over here! 😉 too much to list anyways, every day is full, full, full of stuff we managed to get to and even more that gets added to our to-do list that we didnt manage to get to… ugh…. 🙂 your clafoutis look great though! love all the sugar on top!

  3. Glad you were able to get to this one! Its a good cake…..pudding……pudding-cake, isn’t it? Thanks for the tip for garbanzo flour! I have a couple of eggplants so I’ll try it.

  4. Good to see you!
It’s a crazy summer here too – looking forward to spending my vacation time in Washington and Vancouver in September.

  5. Teresa. so nice that yo are “back”, I always enjoy coming here and your Whole-Cherry Clafoutis certainly looks absolutely wonderful. What a wonderful and easy (and adaptable) recipe this was!
    Have a wonderful week!

  6. Well, Teresa, it’s about time you showed up. Don’t do that again!!! Love the look of your clafoutis. I hope you will write some Posts about your canning (and, your planning). At the Aspen Food & Wine this year, all the chefs were talking about preservation and fermentation — that’s what they’re doing this Summer and Fall. Will look forward to see what you’re doing. I hope you gobbled up that good-looking dessert and didn’t share all that much. I only got one slice of my ownb clafoutis which I am still a bit bitter about.

  7. Your clafoutis looks excellent! I love the organized look of the cherries. I’m hoping to do some canning this summer, too. What are you planning to can?
